With SOLVA-KER™ GEL
Idiopathic hyperkeratosis is a manageable condition characterized by excessive keratin growth and build-up at the stratum corneum, or the outermost layer of the skin. This condition can be unsightly and is almost always painful. Your veterinarian should rule-out distemper, discoid lupus, leishmaniasis, zinc-responsive dermatosis and pemphigus foliaceus through further diagnostics. Once these underlying diseases have been ruled-out, many breeds will have a genetic predisposition to this condition and will be diagnosed as idiopathic hyperkeratosis. Salicylic acid has been shown to produce desquamation of the stratum corneum while not affecting the qualitative or quantitative structure of the viable epidermis.
With VetriSpheres™ technology, Solva-Ker™ Gel contains microencapsulated salicylic acid (6.6%) with urea in a grease-less topical gel. Use as directed.

My Vet recommended this product for some Keratin overgrown on my dogs nose. It worked so well and the overgrowth was 90% gone in a couple of weeks.
Putting this gel on my Golden Retriever’s actually made her smile! She lets me put it on her feet without running away.
Used for my dogs paws. She had "hairy paws" pretty bad, and I was shocked at how quickly this worked. Noticed a huge difference and really helped her paws! It actually worked!!!!!
I use this product on my greyhounds feet. She has hyperkeratosis so I have to cream her feet 3 x a week. The product has done a good job healing the cracked dry skin.
